The Crucorney Woodland Group is a community organisation aiming to maintain Court Wood at Llanvihangel Crucorney as a sustainable and biodiverse habitat.

We do this by felling dead and dying trees, planting new trees, and creating brash piles to support insects and small mammals.

Our income is generated from processing and selling firewood in the winter and charcoal (which we make in our own kiln) in the summer.

The Group have also recently secured £14,000 from The National Lottery Community Fund which will be invested into work and activities over the next two years.

If you're interested in learning about traditional woodland management skills and keen on some exercise in the fresh air with like-minded people, do consider volunteering.

We're a friendly bunch and welcome people of all ages and abilities.
