Court Wood workgroups

Workgroups take place most weeks on Wednesday mornings or on a weekend morning, sometimes both, depending on availability.

Activities include making charcoal, felling carefully selected trees in season, wood processing (cutting, splitting, stacking) for firewood and use in our charcoal kiln, tree planting and general woodland management, all with a view to improve the health and biodiversity of the wood.

Other workgroups have spent a while rebuilding the woodshed store, and we are in the process of replacing the worn out teepee in the wood with a more substantial shelter.

The fellers are all fully trained and hold licences allowing the careful and regulated use of potentially dangerous chainsaws and the like, and all workers are kept a safe distance from the action!

Why not try a half day on a workgroup some time? Fresh air, as energetic as you want it to be, and all in a beautiful location.
